COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Chemistry R120 is the first semester of general chemistry course with fundamental principles and theories of chemistry. Special emphasis on nomenclature of inorganic compounds, calculation in solution, stoichiometry, chemical reaction, chemical equilibrium, quantum mechanical model of the atom, periodicity, molecular structures, thermodynamics, Gas Laws, and kinetic molecular theory is included. The laboratory will give concrete examples of lecture material.
